At 0.5 miles on the Gorton Creek Falls trail, you come to a beautiful set of triple falls called Emerald Falls. From here, you will have to hike up another 150 yards over big moss covered rock and log jams to get to Gorton Creek Falls. (120 ft. waterfall)
Directions: Take exit 51 to Wyeth Campground. Park at the end in the day use area. ($5.00 Parking Fee) Follow the trail .3 miles and you will come to a bridge. From here, there are two more trails that lead off to your right. Cross the bridge to the upper trail and it goes for 5.9 miles to another waterfall. (un-known) Don't cross the bridge and stay to your left and continue on for another .3 miles and you will come to Emerald Falls. Just above Emerald Falls is Gorton Creek. Continue past Emerald Falls and up the creek to the left about 150 yards and you will arrive at Gorton Creek Falls. To the left of the falls is a steep and slippery scree field you will need to scramble up for the view seen above. Best time to Photograph: When the sun is directly above.
