The Grand Mogul, ( 9,733 ft. ) distinguishable even from a distance because of it's unique shape. Resembling a ghost ship drifting at sea. A spectacular display of morning light shines through the scattered clouds, emphasize this dramatic peak with beautiful highlights and bold shadows.
Directions: Traveling north on highway 75, you will pass Alturas Lake Rd. and Pettit Lake Rd.on your left. Continue on past the Sawtooth Hatchery on your left about 1 mile and the turn-off for Redfish Lake Rd. is on your left. Continue down Redfish Lake Rd. and you will arrive at Redfish Lake. There are many different trailheads taking you to different areas within the Sawtooths. During the summer months, pay $5.00-$10.00, and you can take a short boat ride across Redfish Lake cutting out several miles of trails.
