Black and White

All of my black and white images are photographed in color, then converted to black and white using Tiffen's Dfx 1.0 plug-in filters for black and white photography. Not all of the photographs I take can be converted. Although I have found my technique and style of black and white photography, I find it extremely difficult to find the perfect color image to convert. I don't have a simple step-by-step method inwhich to convert my color images.
A true black and white should prevoke a sence of emotion and demand the viewers attention. I have created my dramatic black and white imagery through the use of natural lighting, filters and a burning technique in Photoshop. By incorporating these bold shadows with visable highlights and midtones, my black and white prints make a statement. When printed on a heavyweight Fine Art Paper, these stunning black and white prints will look beautiful in any home or office.
